My Artwork
I love art, but never seriously documented anything in the past. Here are some of my recent artworks.

Acrylic Paintings
I used to do watercolor and Chinese painting when I was younger, so painting with brushes is not too unfamiliar to me. After my kids left a lot of acrylic paint at home from their school projects, I started experimenting with acrylic painting so the supplies wouldn’t go to waste. It has since become one of my favorite hobbies during relaxed holiday seasons.

Mountain Creek, NJ (July, 2021)
The main drive for me to pick up skiing many years ago is my deepest curiosity for the snow scenery up on top of a big mountain. The first time when I got up to Okemo, I was stunned by its beauty. Of course, there are far more famous snow mountains all over the world. Inspired by the trees in the snow during one of my ski trips to Mountain Creek in 2021, I started my first Acrylic painting.

Skaftafell, Iceland (Dec 2021)
I did my first solo trip in Iceland, the land of fire and ice. The 7 hour hike in Skaftafell national park marked my first serious hike. Before that, I was a very casual hiker. This is my 2nd Acrylic painting, finished during a very relaxed Christmas season years after that hike.

Yosemite, CA (Dec 2022)
I did my 1st backpacking trip in Yosemite, where rock climber Alex Honnold made his free solo ascent of Freerider on El Capitan. It was very challenging due to the size and weight of that backpack. I'm a small person. Nevertheless, I made it. The breathtaking beauty of Yosemite got imprinted in my memory forever. So during another Christmas season, I did this Acrylic painting.
